Teacher:                  

John is currently the Drama Teacher at Arthur I. Myer Jewish Preparatory School, Previous teaching experience includes Director of Education at Arts Garage ,  Assistant Director of Education at  the Plaza Theatre ,  Private Lesson Program Director and Voice/Piano  Teacher at North Broward Preparatory School ,  and Music Appreciation Teacher at Weiss School for the Gifted.  John has more than  twenty years experience  teaching private and group voice lessons.  He has  a strong background in vocal pedagogy; specializing in musical theatre, the changing male voice, and performance /audition preparation for professionals and aspiring young professionals alike. John is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Voice Teachers  National Association (VTNA) , Gold Coast Association of Teachers of Singing (GCTS), and the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC).        

Director:

John has directed/musically  directed  theatre productions  and Summer Camps for youth and teens at: The  Broward Center for the Performing Arts,  American Heritage School, North Broward Preparatory School, The Plaza Theatre,  Arts Garage,  Wellington's Dance Arts Conservatory and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School . These productions include : Grease Jr., How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying  Jr.,  The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,  Rent Jr .,  Avenue Q Jr., Into The Woods Jr.,  Cats Jr., Camp Rock the Musical, Higb School Musical Jr.  High School Musical 2, Once Upon A Mattress Jr,,  Aladdin, A Chorus Line Jr.,  Peter Pan, Once On This Island Jr., Cinderella, Annie Jr.,  Madagascar the Musical  Jr., Willie Wonka Jr., Free To Be You And Me, Alice in Wonderland Jr., Little Mermaid Jr.

Journalist:

John is a member of the Florida Press Club, and  was the South Florida Theater Critic for Broadway World  and Talkin'  Broadway , and the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale  Theater Arts Blogger for Arts America. from 2006-2018.  He was a member of the Silver Palm Awards' Advisory Council  2008-2018.  John is also the recipient of the 2001 and 2003 International Library of Poetry  Editors' Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry.
